Over the past three years, the interdisciplinary project "Green City of the Future", funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, has developed approaches to dealing with climate change impacts in growing cities, using the city of Munich as a case s study. In addition to the regulatory benefits of green urban infrastructure for climate adaptation and climate protection in the building sector, the perspectives and potentials of urban society for a climate-adapted city were also researched in Munich's urban neighborhoods. Through their practice-oriented work, the research team has developed adaptation measures that can be taken at governance, building and open space levels to enable effective climate adaptation and mitigation.

In our online conference, we would like to present our results and discuss together with city representatives and experts how to achieve a climate resilient future in growing cities.

We therefore kindly invite you to join our digital conference of the project "Green City of the Future - Climate Resilient Neighborhoods in a Growing City". This will take place on September 14, 2021 from 9:00 am - 3:30 pm (via Zoom). A follow-up virtual gathering until 5:30 p.m. in the " Green City of the Future Showroom" is possible via the online tool Gather.town.

Further information on how to use it as well as the access data for the virtual conference room will be sent to you in advance by e-mail. Online participation is possible via browser and no software needs to be installed.
