Construction Engineering I

The lecture is aimed at prospective vocational school teachers and extends over one semester. 

The following contents are taught in the course "Konstruktiver Ingenieurbau I":

  • Fundamentals of structural systems and their integration into the overall context of a structure (e.g. position plan).
  • Fundamentals of masonry construction - three lecture units
  • Fundamentals of foundation and civil engineering - three lecture units (calculation of stresses and settlements)
  • Calculation of statically indeterminate systems
  • Advanced calculations and approaches to: Frames, cable and arch structures, slate beams, sub-span beams.
