Hydrology Day 2022

On March 22 and 23, 2022, the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and the Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) will jointly organize the Hydrology Day under the motto:

In Transition - Climate, Water and Society

Processes - Methods - Communication

Not least the extreme flood and drought events in Europe, but also the sixth Assessment Report of the IPCC have clearly shown us that water resources and societal actions are interdependent and influence each other. Under the guiding theme "Water and Society", we are looking for presentations or posters that address the following scientific questions:

  • Modeling and prediction of extreme events.
  • Non-stationary behavior of hydrological processes
  • Floodplain reactivation - synergies of flood protection and nature conservation
  • Water-Food-Energy-Nexus
