Research workshop of the Chair of Concrete and Masonry Structures at the Kemptener Naturfreundehaus from 24 to 25 May 2025

At midday, in grey weather, we set off from Immenstadt railway station on a 5 km hike with an ascend of 660 metres to the Kemptener Naturfreundehaus in the Allgäu mountains. After a fun evening at the hut and climbing to the summit of the Gschwendner Horn, we spent Friday morning discussing our latest research projects and working out ideas for new research proposals in small groups. After lunch together, we made our way back down to Immenstadt. It was an educational and inspiring excursion in the beautiful Allgäu mountains.
