The Geothermal Technologies Research Group is member of the Geothermal Alliance Bavaria (GAB) consortium. Within the current (3rd) phase of the GAB consortium, we numerically investigate the impact of lowered injection temperatures on the THMC-behaviour of the Upper Jurassic Carbonate aquifer ("Malm") and how to find the sweetspot between productivity and “no seismicity” of next generation EGS projects in basement rocks of Northern Bavaria. The GAB is funded by the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and Arts.
