Galileo Conference: Fibre Optic Sensing, Aussois, France | 31 August–4 September 2026
Aurelio Andy and Felix Schölderle will present the works of the Chair on fiber optic monitoring in the context of deep geothermal applications. In the projects GAB and GFK-Monitor, several innovative fiber optic monitoring systems were successfully installed in 2019 and 2023 which are delivering unique and valuable data since then. Aurelio and Felix will present the experiences and results of 7 years of fiber optic monitoring at Germany’s largest geothermal site, ‘Schäftlarnstrasse’ in Munich.
