On 16.Sep.2023, the project GFK-Monitor started with an online kick-off meeting. The project for the "Development of holistic monitoring with the support of fibre optic cable technology and tracer technology to improve the system integrity of geothermal plants" is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action Germany. TUM Chair of Hydrogeology, SWM Services GmbH, German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), Fraunhofer Research Institution for Energy Infrastructures and Geothermal Systems (IEG) and the University of Göttingen are contributing to the research questions.
