16th Young Geomorphologists Meeting of the German Young Geomorphologists

Three successful days of the 16th Young Geomorphologists Meeting are over and me, Doris Hermle and the board of the German Young Geomorphologists, are very proud about the excellent work presented by the young researchers with fruitful discussions during the poster session, talks and spotlight presentations.
The field trip showed us geomorphological insights of the surrounding area and a final stop at the Rotenfels.
Special highlights were the Friday night talk "Academic Paths & Experiences" with Prof. Dr. Wilfried Häberli and PD Dr. Tobias Ullmann and the keynote by Prof. Dr. Häberli on Saturday morning on "Geomorphology and new landscapes in high mountains - experiences and reflections".
My personal take home from this intense discussion is to "stay curious while knowing the risks" of a career in academia.
