AlpSenseAdapt: Successful installation of a new automated water sampler downstream from the source of the Partnach

In mid-August, a team of scientists led by Sophia Gahr, successfully installed an automated water sampler and new measurement sensors in the Reintal valley, downstream from the source of the Partnach. The water samples will be analyzed for their chemical composition (cations, anions, trace elements) to develop geochemical indicators for cryosphere loss and to monitor water quality. The installation and commissioning were supported by Michael Hopfensberger from Endress+Hauser , master's student Rakesh Sharma, Felix Antritter, laboratory manager at the Chair of Analytical Chemistry and Water Chemistry, and postdoc Johannes Leinauer.
