TUM visits Université de Montréal
Thanks to a grant by the Bavarian Research Alliance (BayFOR, Grant program BayIntAn), Michael and Saskia spent two weeks at the Geocryolab at the University of Montreal (UdeM), led by Prof. Daniel Fortier. They enjoyed deep scientific discussions about permafrost processes and the design of physical modelling experiments, especially for saline permafrost. The primary goal of the seed funding grant is to establish a long-term collaboration between the TUM Landslide Research Group’s Arctic branch and UdeM’s Geocryolab. The Landslide research group is looking forward to this!
