Research interests

Anne is interested in Forms, their persistence and the underlying mechanics. By implying new methods, especially from material sciences, she tries to better understand the feedback relations of tectonic stress, rock- a great material, and environmental conditions, from landscapes to the microscale. Her studies root in theoretical geomorphology as well as classical mechanics, eager to bridge open gaps. The doctorate study of Anne focusses on the identifications and interactions of conditioning, e.g. water and applied stress; and preconditioning factors, e.g residual strains, and their control on fracture development and slope stability, without losing sight of the great morphology we can find on Earth’s surface.
