AlpSenseRely - stakeholder meeting at the Schneefernerhaus on the Zugspitze

In September, we organized a stakeholder meeting at the Schneefernerhaus on the Zugspitze within the AlpSenseRely project. The roundtable with the topic "What needs do you see as users in forecasting natural hazards in climate change?" was an important event and received positive feedback throughout. In addition to personal, interdisciplinary, and international exchange, the main focus was on what information end users need when forecasting natural hazards in climate change and how this information should be communicated. The meeting showed that there is a great need for action, research and development in this area in the coming years.

Among others, representatives of the Bavarian Ministry of the Environment, the German Alpine Club (DAV), municipalities from Bavaria and Tyrol, the Bavarian Zugspitzbahn, the Bavarian Mountain Rescue Service, the geological services from South Tyrol, Tyrol and the Salzburg region and scientists from the AlpSenseRely project were present.
