Dr. Alex Braun becomes TUM Senior Vice President for Digitalization and IT systems

We congratulate Dr. Alex Braun for his new postion as TUM vice president!

Alexander Braun, who received his PhD from the Chair of Computational Modeling and Simulation in 2020 and is acting as leader of the "Digital Twinning" group at CMS, is the new TUM Senior Vice-President for Digitalization and IT systems. On December 8th, 2021 the university's Board of Trustees elected him to a three-year term on the TUM Board of Management. Alex Braun thus also assumes the function of Chief Information Officer (CIO) at TUM.

He continues to work as as group leader at TUM-CMS, thus continuing his succesful involvement in research and teaching, allowing him to advance his academic profile and career.
