U-values of layered and compound structural elements; corrections of the U-value; rated values of thermal conductivity; surface temperature and heat loss through thermal bridges; finite element calculation of thermal bridges; danger of moisture and mould formation; Glaser method; overview on insulating materials.

Description

Dealing with and calculation of the heat and moisture transfer in building materials and building components according to German (DIN), European (EN) and international (ISO) standards as well as implementation of the German (BRL, abZ, ZiE) and European (ETA, CUAP) regulations authorized by the board of surveyors. Practice of common calculation exercises and examples. Introduction and training course of the two-dimensional calculation of thermal bridges according to DIN EN ISO 102 11 on the basis of a finite element program which will be provided.

Prerequisites

Fundamental knowledge on building engineering and building physics - Building Physics Basic Module.
