Dr.-Ing. Klaudius Henke

Dr.-Ing. Klaudius Henke was research associate at the Chair of Timber Structures and Building Construction from Oktober 2002 until December 2023.

Klaudius Henke has been educated as an architect at the University of Stuttgart, the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London (AA) and the Berlin University of the Arts (HdK/UdK). In 2016 he received his doctorate on the topic 'Additive Manufacturing by Extrusion of Wood Concrete'. During his time at the Chair of Timber Structures and Building Construction he was responsible for the courses ‚Descriptive Geometry‘, ‚Introduction to CAD‘ and ‚Introduction to Additive Manufacturing in Construction‘. He conducted research on different topics including digitization and monitoring of building structures. Since 2010, however, the focus of his research became the topic of additive manufacturing in construction. From 2020 until 2023 Dr. Henke was member of the board of the DFG Collaborative Research Center TRR 277 'Additive Manufacturing in Construction - The Challenge of Large Scale'.
