The book project „Kompendium Praxis der Nachhaltigkeit von Hochbauten im Lebenszyklus“ aims to develop and promote a comprehensive and interdisciplinary perspective on sustainability in the construction industry. The focus is on bringing together the existing knowledge resources of established industry experts to create a reference work on sustainability in construction.
This work will cover a wide range of structures and all those involved in the construction process. It places a special focus on buildings and considers both new and existing structures in terms of their sustainability. A further section will then look at civil engineering structures and transport facilities.
The end product of this work will be the book “Compendium of Sustainability Practices for Buildings in Their Life Cycle,” which will support the industry and help it to better understand and overcome the challenges of sustainable development in construction. It focuses on the entire life cycle of buildings, which increases the relevance and usefulness of the work for a wide range of stakeholders, from architects and civil engineers to contractors and project managers.
This project is a collaborative effort between the Technical University of Munich and the University of Applied Sciences Konstanz. The research results will be published in the form of a comprehensive book project, which is expected to be published by Springer Vieweg Verlag.
