The Department is one of the leading institutions for research and teaching in the fields of civil engineering, environmental engineering, applied geosciences and related fields.
Integrated into the Technical University of Munich (TUM), which provides an excellent basis for interdisciplinary research, it benefits from being located in Munich, close to Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) and excellent non-university institutions, with which it maintains cooperations through various formats.
