Paper published!

Congratulation! Lisa’s paper on Monte Carlo simulations as a decision support to interpret δ¹⁵N values of nitrate in groundwater is accepted in Groundwater Journal. Nitrate is one of the main pollutants in agriculturally impacted groundwater systems.  Stable isotopes of dissolved nitrate are often used to determine different nitrate sources and denitrification processes in groundwater, but are often difficult to interpret.  Lisa’s new results can be used to qualitatively and quantitatively evaluate the influence of different potential distributions, which might mask each other due to overlaping δ¹⁵N ranges, and can support the estimation of nitrate input related to land use.
