Felix Pfluger joined the TUM Landslide Research Group

Felix Pfluger joined the TUM Landslide Research Group working as a PHD student working on landslides in permafrost environments in the alps. He finished his M.Sc. in Engineering and Hydro Geology at the TUM. With his Master Thesis he investigated the effects of hillslope-channel-coupling on sediment supply and damming in mountain streams through the analysis of various landslide types in the lower Wetterstein Mountains.

His research interests as a PHD student focuses on the assessment and modelling of mass movements in recent ice-free areas. He aims to improve the existing rock-ice-mechanical modell with field data and describe effects of hydrostatic pressure on landslides in changing permafrost. Felix takes part in the international doctoral program M3OCCA (Measuring and Modelling MOuntain glaciers and ice caps in a Changing ClimAte).
