Objectives

Studying flight operation and its resulting impact on airport design. The students are able to understand the requirements at airports resulting from the flight dynamics of an aircraft system. Students are able to apply the discussed methods of dimensioning and design of airfields and analyze and evaluate airfield constructions.

Description

- Aircraft characteristics (technical and operational aspects) and development - Physical behavior of an aircraft (nomenclature, coordinate systems, equations of motion, state space model and modeling, external forces) - Flight dynamics at the flight phases takeoff and landing - Introduction to the flight operations (cockpit instruments / layout, radio beacons, instrument landing system ILS, multi-crew concept, weather, weight and balance) - Aircraft and propulsion system, - Airport operation, airline operation, air traffic control, safety and airworthiness in air traffic, - Legal aspects of air transport - Layouts and dimensions for international airports; General installations; Layout and configuration of terminal buildings, aprons, taxiways and runways; - Aircraft loads and design features for airside pavements; Aircraft and Pavement Classification ACN-PCN.
