Real-time GNSS monitoring throughout the winter at the Hochvogel

The AlpSenseRely project partner „Sicurent“ is testing its GNSS RTK rovers at the high-alpine environment of the Hochvogel summit since summer 2020. Using a new technology the sensors reach an accuracy in the range of millimeters. Thus they are able to monitor landslides and rockfalls. Prerequisites are 3G internet and 12 V power supply. In summer 2021 the required radio relay and power supply systems were improved. Thanks to the revision, for the first time we received real-time GNSS data from the summit throughout the winter.
