Timber Structures Supplementary Module
The course shall give the students an understanding of the particularities in the design and planning of timber houses. Apart from the structural calculations, the course will cover appropriate detailing with respect to building physics and construction.
Learning Outcomes
After attending the course students are able to,
- use the procured knowledge to design timber houses
- design and analyse timberwall-, timberfloor- and roof elements as well as bracing systems
- undertake a detailed design of building elements and junctions in respect to structural and building-physics aspects
