The Geothermal Technologies Research Group is member of the Geothermal Alliance Bavaria (GAB) consortium. Within the GAB consortium, we investigate origins of pore pressure and stress magnitude variations and its impact on deep geothermal drilling and temperature variations within the North Alpine Foreland Basin in SE Germany, also known as Bavarian Molasse Basin, which is currently Germany's most productive deep geothermal energy play. The GAB is funded by the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and Arts.
