This lecture series investigates the complex system of topics that must work together to create a city that can meet the needs of the people without exceeding the carrying capacity of the planet.
The seminar will consist of a City Indicator Project that analyzes cities from around the world. 

This lecture series provides insight into basic principles of sustainable urban planning and design with a focus on answering the question: What is my role  in urban planning as an engineer?
In the seminar different developments in Munich will be analyzed in regards to improving the overall quality of the city and life in these areas.

This lecture covers the fundamentals of lighting technology, from the basics of photometry, and the eye as an organ of perception through to artificial lighting systems and natural lighting engineering.

In this seminar the engineering basics of urban energy systems and the sustainable and energy-efficient planning and implementation of construction and renovation processes are discussed.

How can I design buildings that will actually be able to adapt to a changing climate?
This seminar provides an introduction into the theoretical basics of numerical simulation methods and how these can be implemented in the planning of cities and buildings as well as during construction and building use.

A seminar that explores how “sufficiency” could improve your quality of life while simultaneously reducing the consumption of ressources.
