Many of the participants described the RNB Connect event on Friday last week as a successful evening. Eight graduates of TUM's Resource Efficient and Sustainable Building (RNB) degree program shared their professional experiences and career paths after graduation on the seventh floor of the Oskar von Miller Forum.
Afterwards, a toast was raised on the roof terrace, as there was every reason to do so. In view of the challenges and the backwardness of the construction industry in terms of sustainability, it became clear how welcome the expertise of RNB graduates is. Even if no vacancies are advertised at a company, jobs are explicitly created on request because their skills are in such high demand.
Benjamin Slosharek, one of the alumni, summed it up aptly: “You (RNB graduates) are worth your weight in gold!”
The alumni encouraged current students to actively contribute to change in the industry and to use the knowledge and skills they have acquired in a self-confident and targeted manner to actively contribute to change in the industry.
Johanna Schmidt, RNB student in her second semester, reports confidently: “The change in the industry is in our hands.”
