Student assistant wins BDLA Bavaria Young Talent Award

Marion Schiffer convinced the jury of the Association of German Landscape Architects with her Bachelor's thesis "New urban and climate-friendly district in Freising-Lerchenfeld".

Every year, the BDLA awards outstanding final theses in landscape architecture in Bavaria. With her concept for an innovative, communicative and sustainable neighbourhood in the Lerchenfeld district of Freising, the landscape architecture student succeeded in combining the themes of climate-friendly urban development with an appealing design.

"Ms Schiffer shows a high degree of professionalism in all the drawings presented. Her design is convincing in terms of content and impresses with its calmness and "unexcitedness". The pronounced high quality is particularly evident in the detail, where the author was able to show how intensively and thoroughly she dealt with the required subject areas. In addition, the successful connection to the existing commercial area, the created neighbourhood centre, as well as the well thought-out water management should also be emphasised."(BDLA, 2021)
